Frequently asked questions
What is One Hallelujah?
One Hallelujah is a worldwide congregational worship initiative. It invites congregations, households and individual worshippers to shout “Hallelujah” at one shared official instant. The core message is: One World. One Moment. One Hallelujah.
Who can participate?
Congregations, families and individual worshippers can take part. You may register a congregation, or register your own intention without joining a particular organisation.
Do I need to belong to a particular denomination?
No. One Hallelujah is not limited to one denomination, language or country. The website does not claim endorsement by a church, leader or organisation unless that endorsement has been confirmed and published.
When will the global moment take place?
The official instant is Sunday 7 November 2027 at 12:00 UTC. The countdown shows that same moment in your local time. This website is the record of the official time. No other date should be used.
How will the same instant be determined worldwide?
Authorised staff publish one UTC timestamp. Connected devices estimate the current UTC time from trusted clocks and count down locally. The moment is not triggered by a livestream or by a message sent from a server at the last second.
What does UTC mean?
UTC is the shared world time standard. It does not change for daylight saving. Your local time is that same instant shown in your own time zone. The countdown always shows both.
How do I know my countdown is synchronised?
The page states one of three conditions in words, not by colour alone. Synchronised means the device recently checked a trusted time source and the measured uncertainty is within the current limit. Limited accuracy means the device is offline or confidence is reduced. Not yet synchronised means no reliable estimate has been obtained. An offline device is not labelled synchronised.
Can my church participate without reliable internet?
Yes. Download the offline pack in advance, copy the official time once it is published, and follow the backup timing instructions. Check a local clock against a trusted time source before the event. Offline clocks can drift and are not as dependable as a freshly checked connected device.
What happens if the website goes offline?
If you opened the site earlier, core pages and the last official timestamp can remain available on your device. Use the printed pack and the backup procedure. Do not replace the official time with a locally invented one. Registration and email may be unavailable until those services return, but a previously cached countdown can still be used with its accuracy clearly labelled.
Do I need to download an app?
No. The website is enough. On supported phones you may add it to your home screen. That is optional.
How do I register a congregation?
Open Register a Congregation and complete the form. You will see a clear success message only if the registration is stored. If the request fails, nothing should be treated as submitted. A welcome email is sent from noreply@myonehallelujah.com when email delivery is configured. An individual registration with no email address cannot receive that message.
How is attendance estimated?
Congregations choose a range. Those ranges are self-reported estimates. They are not a verified count of worshippers and they are not proof that anyone participated. Verified congregation counts appear only where a coordinator has recorded them.
How will my registration data be used?
Congregation contact details are used to coordinate the event and, where you have consented, to send event communications. They are not sold. Individual registration does not require your name. You may ask for deletion through the contact form. See the privacy policy for retention and access rules.
